Frequently Asked ?’s

What’s an Innovation Center? How will you help me? What makes the QCI different?

We are sure that you have many questions about the QCI and how we can help you grow your business.  Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions and answers:

So what’s an Innovation Center? Isn’t it just like office space in any other location?

While the Quincy Center for Innovation at first glance may look like other offices you’ve visited, it’s actually dramatically different. Perhaps the biggest difference can be found with the environment. People come to the QCI to work alongside peers and other entrepreneurs and this co-working, collaborative environment creates a “buzz” that you won’t find in another workspace. Creative juices (and plenty of coffee!) flow freely at the the QCI.

In addition, as a PE you will always have someone to bounce ideas off of and to help you with planning and growing your business. The unique partnership between the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, South Shore Innovation, Eastern Nazarene College and the City of Quincy gives you access to mentors, advisors, networking opportunities, advertising opportunities and more.

How much does it cost to be a Program Entrant?

It depends on what you need.  We have entrant fees from as little as $100 per person per month to $500 per person per month.  Visit the Flexible Program Options page for details about the varying levels.

What is included in addition to my workspace?

All PE’s have WiFi, stocked kitchens, conference room access, classroom space, access to printers and copiers, and on-street parking included.  Additional benefits are added depending on the program level.

Will you charge me extra for my WiFi use or using conference rooms?

No! Along with free coffee, these are included!

How will the QCI help me grow my business?

The QCI has a team of mentors and advisors in place.

Do I have to sign a lease?

There is an agreement that we ask all PE’s to sign upon entry. We ask that you give us 30 days notice before leaving the program.

How long can I stay at the QCI?

You can stay for as little as one month or as long as 2 years.

How quickly can I get in and be up and running at the QCI?

In most instances, we only need a couple of days from when you sign your agreement with us until you can move in.
